Geothermal grout
The physical properties of OLIMAG sands are highly valued when used for conductive sealing grouts for deep geothermal works.
The proposed sealing grout mixes help ensure optimal performance of geothermal systems.
What is it?
Geothermal grout is a hydraulically setting mortar made from JETMAG® sand, clay aggregates, and polymer binders. It has excellent viscosity, making it easy to pump for installation in vertical boreholes.
Once in place, the grout allows for effective embedding and sealing in the receiving ground of the vertical tubes carrying the geothermal probes. The grout protects the probes against occasional influxes of water that may come from the receiving ground and resists possible freeze/thaw cycles of the heat transfer fluids.
The Advantages
Reduced costs, as less bentonite is required
Strong conductivity
Excellent permeability rate
Effective protection of groundwater and protective soils
Not harmful
Safe for the environment
