Operating in Thetford Mines since 1986, our company has acquired cutting-edge expertise in the production of synthetic olivine. Thanks to a patented thermal calcination process, we have become a world leader in our field.

We produce non-toxic, durable, high-performance sands that meet the highest quality standards. Environmentally responsible and sustainable, our products are currently primarily used in the abrasive sand and refractory sand markets.​

We are proud to say that our company has been an integral part of Quebec's circular economy since its inception. Throughout its history, it has kept the importance of respecting the environment at the heart of its vision.

To minimize the impact of these activities on air quality, Olimag has implemented several proactive measures. We monitor various emission sources through regular sampling campaigns to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Additionally, Olimag is currently conducting a major environmental characterization project at one of its sites. This initiative will deepen our understanding, as well as that of the Ministry of the Environment, of the key factors related to the restoration of former mining sites.
